Everybody loves a wiener dog!
I have owned a wiener dog since my first and only childhood pet "Princess" who lived to be 18 yrs old. I have loved the little sausages my whole life and I am now a 60+ yr old grandma. That's a looooong time! Almost as long as a wiener dogs back! Our very casual breeding of our personal house pets produces some of the sweetest wiener pups on the planet. Ours are raised in a healthy, loving environment with full access to our 20 acre farm and big ole farmhouse! Dachshund Acres as we affectionately call our place is the ideal place for raising happy pups full of life and love to give!
Happy, Healthy Pups
We are a family of very devoted animal lovers. We have been very active for many decades taking in abandoned dogs and cats of every type as well as horse rescue. These days find us helping support our animal rescue efforts with the sale of our Dachshund puppies. So do know when you acquire a pup from us you have done more than just found your furever friend, your helping another animal in need.
Besides having an adult daughter who is a working vet tech and future vet herself we also keep two large animal and three small animal veterinarians services retained at all times. The health and well being of our animals is at the very top of our list of concerns.
Our goal is to provide a few pups a year to loving homes and share the joy of owning a mini Dachshund with you. We are not breeding large scale or show dogs, we are breeding strictly for family pets. Our three purebred mother dogs all originated from AKC stock but we do not sell our pups as registered dogs. Our hope is that this policy will encourage all our pups new families be only interested in a desire to love a wiener dog of their own, and the value of a beloved pet.
We do not require nor ask for complicated contracts and wish to make sure your purchase of your family pet is pleasantly simple and without pages of demands. Due to the numerous scams online for puppies that don't even exist we do not take deposits but operate on an in person pay and pick up basis only.
We are the glass is half full kind of folks so we trust in the goodness of people to do right by us as well as the animals we all love. If there is ever a problem always know we will do all we can to help you and never take a harmful and judgmental attitude.
A Furever Friend
Dachshunds are generally fun with kids, certainly adorable snugglers, (aka blanket weasels) and love to give you wiener hugs with their foreheads. While small, they are not nervous dogs but rather bold and gritty. They were originally bred to flush badgers out of their dens and to do that a dog has to have a fearless attitude and that they do! We are happy to guide you to useful resources and information about the Dachshund dog. How to keep them healthy and allow them to provide you with years and years of wiener dog love!
